How hard is it to leave undergrad after only 3 years assuming one's gpa and dat are good? If there are any good threads on this topic already created feel free to post links to them.

I would think you have a good chance if you have a 3.5+ GPA with a 20+ DAT.

Hell yah, I say go for it....if you want to save money. If you want to enjoy being a kid and having fun at college (which I think is priceless) then I'd wait a year. You have the rest of your life to be a doctor...most older people I know would have gone for a fifth year of undergrad if they had the opportunity to do so.

I was accepted into Indiana this morning in that situation. I had a 3.5 sci and overall with a 17AA 19SCI and 16PAT. I don't know if this helps, but I thought it was worth posting.

Congratulations predentchick, on your acceptance.

Cogratulations predentchick

I had a 3.6 gpa, 19 overall, 16 pat, and 16 organic (after taking only 1 semester), 21 bio, 21 reading, 18 math and chem. I had 120 hours after 3 years. And got into Indiana, Penn, and Minesotta, I had about 10 other interviews in Feb, but canceled them all. I shadowed a dentist for 50 hours and worked at a dental lab over the summer twice a week. I also had a lot of extracurriculars. I say go for it and pm me if you have any other questions.
