Hello everyone!
Thinking about applying to MD on June 1st, but am afraid of getting rejected from all of my schools. My stats as a brown male are:
30 Mcat
3.45 sGPA
3.6 GPA

Publication in Nature Genetics
200+ research hours
4+ leadership roles
200+ volunteer hours
100+ shadowing hours

My question to you all now is, am I just going to be looked at as a mcat score/GPA and get denied, or do you think I still have a shot at mid-tier medical schools such as Drexel, Rowan, Penn State?

I would advice applying to both. Just be reasonable with the schools you apply to.
Don't waste your money with higher tier Medical colleges(US-best College ranking).

Here is a list I have currently, which do you think I should get rid of and or hold top priority? Thanks for all the help!

University of Florida

Drexel University

Temple University

Rowan-Cooper Medical School of Med

UMDNJ

USF School of Medicine

FIU

Penn State SAM

Howard University

New York Medical College

Leave Howard on there, you have a shot.

Affirmative action is not offered at medical colleges.
Correct. But Howard is a historically black college. They are dedicated to serving the underrepresented in medicine. A good reminder to read the mission statements of schools you apply to, stats are not everything.

Concur with this. Unless OP has done things with the underserved, he don't have a strong shot there. The mission is also important to take into consideration.

I suggest the following:

Rush
NYMC
Creighton
Albany
Rosy Franklin
Drexel
Temple
Loma Linda (but read their list of don'ts)
MCW
St. Louis U
WVU
Jefferson
Creighton
Tulane
Loyola
GWU
Georgetown
Tufts
U Miami
Wake Forest
EVMS
U VM
VCU
U AZ-T
U AZ-P
All new MD programs except Hofstra, Central MI, Va Tech
Any DO program
Your state school(s).
