hi everyone
I am planning to send my applications as soon as possible... but i dont think my transcripts will be sent to aadsas earlier than june 7th!..does this 7 days delay really matter?

Nope! You're worrying too much lol. I was told by some schools as long as my app was in before August I was early. So if your app is in anywhere in june you are fine. Also, schools don't get your app for like 2 to 4 weeks after you submit it anyways so don't worry.

AADSAS normally mails out their first batch of apps June 26th-ish. so anything turned in before than will be 'first.'

The two significant factors that delay review of application(s) are gpa and dat scores.

Do some people order a transcript for themselves to input on the AADSAS, and then request another one to send to the schools?

I don't understand how some people can submit within a week of AADSAS opening up. Doesn't it take more than a week for schools to process transcript request forms (which can only be downloaded when the aadsas opens)?

yes ofc it matters.

IMO, don't apply this cycle UNLESS your sending everything out on June 1st (not 2nd, not 3rd, but FIRST)

How much of a setback is it to apply in say September? Is it really as good as not applying at all?

Pacific time too. If it passes midnight, you probably should just give up. Auto-reject.

I dont know why people are stressing so much about this !!!!!!! I am gona finish my 2 spring courses on june 24th, will get my grades by june 26, THEN take my DAT 2nd week of July and i am just chill. There are alot of people who apply early, correct but there are alot of people ^10 that dont get to write their DAT till late july or August, wont have their LOR ready, will have problem with their transcripts, and DONT even know about the rolling admission. Folks, i suggest you all take a deep breath and just do it as fast as YOU CAN.and Thus MAdental Spoke

Of course you can apply in September and still be successful. If you have strong DAT scores, GPA, LORs, extracurriculars, etc., you should probably still get in somewhere. It's just that earlier is better in dental school admissions. Apply as early as possible to maximize your chances.

i am applying in my 3rd year of undergraduate. that's why i was obsessed with applying early lol.

That's when the majority of applicants are applying.

From all the Kaplan and Pre-dent advisors, I've heard turning in the application before August is still early.
