Applying DO in mid/late-September

I was planning on having my DO secondaries done by mid/late September. I saw several posts mentioning that applying before Thanksgiving would be alright to still get interviews, but I was just wondering if applying in mid/late September would be considered more "early" or "on-time". Or is it generally still "late" with a chance of getting in still.

Any insight into my chances would be appreciated as well. I have a 3.7 gpa (both science and cumulative)/510 mcat.
