Hi,
I am applying to dental school in 2006 and was wondering if it was better to apply to dental school with a 3.15 science GPA in mid-may or apply in July wit a 3.25 science GPA as I was thinking of taking 2 summer classes i am sure i can do well in. THANKS!

While applying in May will certainly get your application out very early, I would advise you to send it off in July when your gpa is up. Granted, there will be more applications out, but July is far from being late and the little boost in your gpa might really improve your chances.

i'd say apply early with that gpa, granted it's not exceptional, its not bad either. do well on the DAT and get in touch with the facuty and start visiting them and how how eger you are to join. good luck.

I would apply as early as possible, even with your lower GPA, like someone else mentioned, make sure you do well on your DAT. By the way, when are you taking it? I applied in early June and took my DAT in middle of Sept and I thought it was a little late for the DAT, but fortunately I made it to a few schools, so my advice: take the DAT soon after you apply. Good luck!
