How many aways should I apply to per month? I want to have 3 aways, like August, Sept, Oct, should I apply for several each month? Is it common to get rejected for aways? Just wondering what the acceptance rate is on these aways....

Hope everyone is doing well....

How many aways should I apply to per month? apply to all vsas at once, and get crackin on the other apps that don't do vsas.

I want to have 3 aways, like August, Sept, Oct, should I apply for several each month? i would, not all the vsas came through for me.

Is it common to get rejected for aways? a few didn't work out for me. i would try multiple. it's like eras sorta, but way less crazy. apply to 2-3 places for each month (places you like vs eras you just apply everywhere).

just wondering what the acceptance rate is on these aways. mine was 50% (n=1).

good luck you future skin wizard.

Ha! Thanks amigo, I'll apply to 3 for each month to be safe. I really appreciate your help though, seriously. Thanks!

I am learning about my skin wizardry, but I'm plain nasty with the skin flute.

can anyone help,i have a small dilema. i got into an away elective at one place but i would like to go to another school during that same month. the problem is that the school i want to go to will not get back to me in enough time to accept/decline the other offer. should i just accept the acceptance i got and then turn it down if i get accepted to the other school? or is that a bad idea. i really dont know what would be best.

So, this exact same thing happened to me...

I confirmed with the first, then a few weeks later the other place called to offer me a spot. I had to tell them no (the second "more desirable" place). It was tough to do, but I felt obligated to the first place, and it ended up working out great in the end. Got a few case studies and a good lor. However the second place did not give me an interview for a residency spot. Not sure if my decision affected theirs. Good luck with whatever decision you make.
