What are your thoughts on applying to the same school for multiple degrees as a fallback? Ideally, I would like to get into a PsyD program. But I'm really worried about the GRE because I've dyslexia and reading has always been a struggle for me. I probably wouldn't even make the cut off score to be considered. So is it possible to apply for Masters in Counseling or MSW in addition to a PsyD program at the same school? Do you submit two applications? Has anyone done this before? Is this something that I have to ask admissions about? lol

Any input would be greatly appreciated!

What exactly do you want to do as a career?

Why do you want a doctorate?

Why a PsyD and not a PhD?

Looking at the coursework for different programs, I'm more interested in what PsyD has to offer. It has more emphasis on psychopathology than MSW and Masters in Counseling programs. I feel like it would better prepare me for the kind of individual counseling/therapy that I want to do - working with populations who exhibit serious psychopathology. Why not a PhD? - Because research isn't my focus, but a PsyD is good in that it would provide me with some research experience. Ultimately, what I'm really looking for is a program that can best prepare me for clinical work in the future.

I know that you can do therapy and even open a private practice with a MSW, but we're talking about two years of school versus five years for a PsyD. Surely the latter imparts more knowledge and prepares you better, doesn't it?

A reputable PsyD and a balanced/more clinically oriented PhD are essentially the same in this respect. Not sure why you'd want to automatically exclude a large amount of training programs, most of them fully funded.
