I feel it's time to lose my student credit card in favor of one of those reward cards. Is there anyway I can get say like the citibank dividend card with a net income of -30,000?

how did you calculate a "negative income"?

Med school tuition is around 30k a year.

I was able to get a United Mileage Plus card during my first year.

Did you put zero down for your income?

Is it really worth it to have a rewards card, how much do you plan on spending on the card? For the occasional charge here and there, there is not much of a point to having a rewards card. Instead look for one with a low IR. As far as the income, you could put the money you'll have after you pay tuition.

Also, if you join AMSA, to get the free Netter you need to fill out an MBNA credit card app. Surprisingly, the card (at least last year) had a real low IR at 8% or something. Although it's probably higher now.

When I applied for a card the rep told me to put my financial aid after tuition down as income.
