Applying for Pros & AEGD?

Quick question for anyone who might know. I plan on applying for Pros programs this coming application cycle through PASS. If for some reason I don't get accepted, I would like to do an AEGD. Here's my question - is it smart to apply for both Pros and AEGD programs simultaneously via PASS? With Pros interviews much earlier than AEGD interviews I could withdraw AEGD app's if accepted by a Pros program. Any input would be great.

You could also apply for pros only, save the PASS/MATCH expense but then look for unmatched AEGD/GPR openings in the Spring if needed.

...Except most (not all) unmatched programs are unmatched for a reason.
