Hey guys.
Quick question, Im signing up for the DAT right now and I have to list schools that I want them to send my scores to. How do i go about choosing schools? My GPA is a 3.6 from UCLA so I dont know which ones I'm not going to get accepted to (Harvard obviously) 😡

Is there a website?
Also, which schools are "easier" to get into (backup)?
Thanks!

$70 - $75 per school for AADSAS
$15 per school for DAT scores
$45 - $70 per school for secondary fees.

Interviews airfare, hotel, food ($250 per school)

Unless you have an intaglio printer and can print your own U.S. currency you'll need some criteria to narrow down the search. Your application submitted today is starting to get toward the late end of the cycle.

If you're a CA resident, apply in CA plus everyone out there applies to every school within 600 miles. Depending on how late you will be with the app, you may want to avoid rolling deadlines. If you are applying as a non-resident to state schools or to a private school usually the applicants: openings is ballpark 100:1. Back up? lol - I'd say NYU has such a large admitted class that a larger percentage of applicants get in than at smaller schools. This is as good as it gets.

What do you mean by rolling deadlines?

I could submit my application today but I'm waiting on word that a doctor whom i shadowed will write me a letter of recommendation. My dad and him got into a big fight over money and i dont know if he'll even talk to me now. I dont want to put on my app that I did it and not get a letter or any proof. Thats the only thing delaying my app.

Deadlilnes to submit your application are different for each school. Also, while most schools' deadlines are not until January or later, schools go on a rolling admission. So, the people who applied early will get earlier interviews and will have the potential to be accepted as early as December first leaving less spots available for the students who apply later in the cycle. It takes several weeks for AADSAS to process your application and it will be at least a month until any school receives your application after you submitted, so it is best to just submit your application if everything else is set so AADSAS can start processing your information. Plus, many schools have a secondary application that they will send you after they get your AADSAS application that you will need to complete and return before they will offer you an interview. Its a long process. You do not have to have your letters of recommendation ready to submit your application. You can send those seperately, so the best advice is submit your application now and then work out the issues with the your LORs. Good luck.

Won't it look weird if I either put that I shadowed this guy and he doesnt want to speak with me or gives me the run around (if he wants to be a dlck) or if I don't put it and then add it later? I know I dont have to turn in the LOR's now but i do have to add my volunteer experience, right? What do u think?
PS thanks SOO much for the info
