Applying IM do I need months off for interviews?

Is it necessary? Can it be done with light elective schedule? Which months would be most helpful?

November and December and after that January. I've tried asking and there's no consensus on which is better. Talk to your counselor because there should be electives available for people with extenuating circumstances that can't afford to pick rotations they can't miss during November/December. Schools want you to match.
