Applying in 2009 Chances

Hey Guys,

I was just wondering if anyone could let me know my chances of getting into a derm program- I recently became really interested in applying. I am Top 50% of class, at Top 10 NIH Research Medical School, Step 1- 260, Approximately half honors in core clinical clerkships. No derm research yet-hopefully start something soon. Some previous research but no papers or presentations.

you're in trouble, probably shouldn't even apply.

just joking. everyone here will tell you the same thing. there are no guarantees in dermatology. do all you can, apply broadly, and pray alot. we are all in the same boat. also, i'm a firm believer that no matter what your numbers are if you are arrogant and can't get along with people you're in trouble.

just my two cents as someone who plans to apply this year as well.
