I would like to study abroad during my junior year. If I were to study abroad, I won't be able to take Physics II during my junior. I would have to take it either during the summer or during senior year. I would try to take it during the summer, but I might have to turn in my application before I finish the class. Is it a bad idea to apply to dental schools without having physics completed and sending in the grade later?
I would appreciate any input on this! Thanks

i believe that it's fine. as long as you complete the prereqs before enrolling into the class then it's okay.

where are you studying for the junior year?

I would like to study in London. My pre-health advisor said that having the physics grade after I submit my application could hinder my chances, since it is one of the main prereqs. She suggested against doing this, so I am just really confused.

Get the app in as soon as possible. Adcoms won't care if you haven't taken the second half as long as you plan to before you matriculate. Also what was your Phys 1 grade? If this is an A or B then they definitely won't care.

Physics is never even used in dentistry, nor on the DAT... I can't see why it would be a problem at all as long as you complete it before matriculating

Before people start harking on me I should never say never, I just meant the physics you learn in undergrad relates to just about nothing in dental school, unlike biochem/micro/chem etc

I hiiiiiiiiiiiighly doubt that any DS would care. They will be MUCH more interested in that year of study abroad (I did mine in Latin America and they were quite flattered)....Good Luck =)
