Foreign ENT here, finished residency recently and interested in fellowship training in the US, future green card holder
Can I apply to otology and peds programs the same year? Will they know that Im shooting for both simultaneously? Will that hurt my chances?
I honestly like both and want to increase my chances of landing a spot... Thanx and peace ✌🏻

If they’re at the same program, decent chance they will figure it out. Even big departments aren’t that big.

Bigger issue is the Otology - and I’m assuming you mean accredited 2 year Neurotology fellowships where you’re still a trainee and not the unaccredited 1 year ones where you generally need a full US medical license and are hired as an attending. If so, these are probably the toughest fellowship matches in all of ENT and the research and connection requirements kind of insane. Making a competitive application for a position is a Herculean task.

That said, if you’re truly a competitive applicant for Neurotology then you’d also be competitive for many Peds fellowships. You’d probably want to avoid applying to the same institution, but since there aren’t many Neurotology slots anyhow that shouldn’t be an issue.
