The question that naturally arises then is "What are the CHANCES of successfully SOAP'ing into a different specialty?" You will be competing against those who wanted that specialty from the start, and your LORs and personal statement (not that I think the latter would matter much in the SOAP) will likely not reflect a strong interest in that field.

Do we need write another PS now and upload it ?

I applied for IM, but I wan to try pathology in SOAP, Can I just write a PS for pathology and upload it for further use?

What makes you sure you don't want to do IM and would rather do Path? (Other than the historically high number of Path spots available in the scramble.)

What makes your app so much better for Path than it was for IM?

In any event, it won't kill you to write a PS for Path at this point. Nobody's going to read it, but if it will make you feel better, go for it.

I just finished my CS in Jan and will get my CS result early next month, So I did not apply for program until I decided to try SOAP last week.

FYI, you can NOT participate in SOAP if ECFMG doesn't verify your credentials by March 9th (i.e. assuming you have passed steps 1 & 2CK, if you don't have your passing CS grade back and are not certified by the ECFMG by March 9th you can NOT participate in SOAP).
