Hi!

So long story short... I recently was accepted to DPT program and accepted the seat (paid the deposit) to an out of state school to keep that door wide open, since I did not get accepted to the schools I applied to in state. I have strengthen my application with more hours, better GRE scores, etc. I was planning on applying to a school in state that starts at the same time as the one I was accepted to.

I was wondering if the school I sent my deposit to will see that I am applying to another program? And if the one I am applying too can see that I have already accepted a seat? I want to keep the out of state school seat to ensure I do go to school as soon as possible, but also wanted to apply in state again to try and save a bit a money.

I just re-read that last night, from PTCAS:

"Any PTCAS program that offers you acceptance will have access to the number of acceptance offers you have received from other programs and the number of other offers you accepted. Programs will not know the total number of programs you applied to, nor admissions decisions other than acceptance made by other programs at that time. A program that has placed an applicant on a wait-list will not have access to that applicant's admission status at other institutions. After the completion of the 2018–19 admissions cycle in fall 2019, programs then will be able to view applicants' other selected programs and the final admission decision reported by each."

I take that, if you apply to a new program, the old school will not know, unless the new school offers, and the only thing the old school will see/get is notification that (1) new offer has come in, but no names of colleges will be shared. This could easily be explained that one of your original applicant colleges offered late (if that makes since). I don't think you have anything to worry about in applying to a new school.
