I'm interested in applying to Masters programs in different areas (contemplating MPH or sciences). I'm still deliberating which schools + field. I had a couple questions about letters of recommendation for others who might know:

1. What sort of letter do I ask the professor/letter writer for? Do I have to specifically tell the letter writer which masters program I'm applying to? Or do I ask for letter that states my general candidacy for graduate school? I'm still contemplating which to apply to, but I'd still like to ask.

2. I have my med school letters of recommendation, but I believe those won't be accepted when applying to Masters programs. Can anyone confirm?

I posted this in the pre-med forum as well, but it hasn't received any replies. This is actually probably a more appropriate forum for this question. If a post is going to be deleted, please delete the one in the pre-med forum, not this one. Thank you!!!

im also wondering this? what did you end up doing?

I emailed the schools I'm interested in individually. Admissions is pretty responsive to email.
