I will be finished with my B.S. during spring of 08 and I'm starting to apply to some post-bacc pre-medical programs but I've run into a huge problem..

I'm applying to about 10 schools throughout the U.S. to hopefully get into a 1-year program and especially one away from this area that I'm in now.

The problem is I need to send out multiple letters of recommendations to each school and I have one professor and the chair of the department willing to write them but how do I get them to send out so many letters? Is there an easier way to get this done?

Do universities consider this service to be legitimate?

The school is asking for some strict guidelines to the LOR.

Most of your professors are willing to write multiple LORs, they are used to it. The LOR do have specific topics they want discussed. I asked my recomenders to right a basic letter and then asked them to tweak it for each school. Give them the cover form for the LORs as well as a pre-addressed envelope to the school or to yourself (depends on where the LOR should go, some schools want it sent in with your apps, others want it sent directly to them). Thats at least what I did. Oh, and dont' forget to write them "thank-you letters"
