I'm going to apply to the schools that does not have official pre-pharmacy track..
but on the essay that I have to send with my application, should I say that I want to become a pharmacist?
I'm going to apply to the school either as a biochemistry or chemistry major.. but I'm not sure if it could decrease my chance of getting in if I say that I want to become a pharmacist.. because it could also mean that I'm not going to graduate from that school..

Thank You

There is no real pre-pharmacy schools, except those that are 6- or 5- year programs that do 2 years of prereqs and then 3-4 years of pharmacy school. Apply to what schools you want to and apply to whatever program. I, personally, am a biochemistry major, and you just have to complete all the pre-requisite courses prior to matriculation into pharmacy school.

I honestly do not think it will hurt you in any way if you write that you wish to pursue pharmacy as your future career. If anything it shows you have higher ambitions and aspirations to further your education. Also you might end up getting your BS after all with pharmacy schools becoming competitive every year, so the college you are applying to does not necessarily need to know that at this point in time you wish to not finish your bachelor degree. 😉
