So, I am a Pre-Pharmacy student, with a 3.8 overall GPA. I am applying to pharmacy school this year. But let me tell you, I am sooooo nervous/excited/terrified about this. The schools that I am applying to are: Albany College of Pharmacy, Roseman University, LIU, University of the Pacific, and UCONN.

I work full-time as a Senior Certified Pharmacy Technician (for the last 5 years). I have no volunteer time, or extra-curricular activities otherwise.

I have taken my PCAT already, and I scored in the 73rd percentile.

Do you guys think that I have a good chance of getting into one of these pharmacy schools??? The one I most want to get in to is Albany College of Pharmacy.

Also, do you guys have any suggestions about the interview process? (Granted I get an interview)

Any advice at all would be greatly appreciated!!!

just apply, you will get in. Do not sweat too much. You got excellent stats already. Start doing some volunteer now while applying, you will be fine.

 You happen to pick up schools with very expensive tuitions ...

Unfortunately, it seems that most schools are expensive. I have family in Upstate New York and California, so those are the states I'm looking to stay near to. The exceptions are UCONN (still close enough to NY) and Roseman. Unfortunately, both states are super expensive! :/

On the plus side, I have saved up enough money for 2 years tuition (ACPHS tuition amount), as I am trying to stay as little in debt as possible.

I thought about applying to Roseman, but 52k/y (and keep rising up) for tuition is excruciatingly painful. I believe U of Pacific is even worse (66k/y?)

just curious, what is/are the advantage(s) of going to those schools ??

U of Pacific is accelerated.

many other schools are also 3-year accelerated PharmD programs without that outrageous price tag. What is/are the advantage(s) of those two schools over other similar but cheaper programs ??

Are these 3-year accelerated programs similar or overpriced? Check out living expense as well.

Midwestern AZ 53k/y
Saint Joseph 47k/y
Roosevelt 47k/y
Maryland Eastern 56k/y
Worcester 47k/y
Roseman 52k/y
Pacific CA 66k/y
Pacific OR 46k/y
South TN 45k/y
Appalachian 40k/y
Sullivan 47k/y

Would 6.5% or 7.9% make a huge difference given the shorter period that interest be compounded?
