Do not worry over 1 potential B.

Hi all,

I've done the calculations, and if I get literal perfect grades this semester, my cGPA and sGPA will both go up by a tiny bit (currently they're between 3.8-3.85 and 3.7-3.75, respectively, keeping it vagueish for privacy). If I start accumulating some A-s or worse, they'll either stay the same or go down. I was wondering if I should send my transcripts in before this semester's grades come out, and then re-send my updated transcripts on the off-chance that my GPA goes up. Is this way too contrived/overcomplicated/gaming the system? Is it even allowed? None of the classes I'm taking this semester are medical school prereqs, if that matters.

I wouldn't normally be nearly this neurotic, but I'm taking physical chemistry this semester, and I'm majorly suffering in the class. I'll still pass and everything, but our final is 40% of our grade and I can definitely see myself getting in the B range or (god forbid) even worse. I'm hoping to apply to T20s depending on how my MCAT turns out, and while my GPA obviously isn't completely unrealistic for that goal, I also wouldn't want it to go down too much further.

Thanks in advance for answering this annoyingly neurotic question!
I sent transcripts without Spring grade and no one asked anything.

Just to hedge your bets, I would apply to at least 30 schools. The students that you're competing with all have similar GPAs. Don't make the mistake of aiming too high and not having a plan B. Just my thoughts and best of luck.
