I thought of doing that but, if I remember correctly, it costs more to add more schools later on "as the money comes along." Plus, I don't see the point of submitting your application in early only to add more schools later on. You will get secondaries later that way.
sounds like a huge pain in the a$$ and many delays. sell a kidney or something so you can just put a bunch on the initial AMCAS app. Later, you can choose not to do all the secondaries.

It only costs more for DO. MD is just the same $30 extra as if you did it all at once. And MD you can add online, DO you have to do via snail mail.
As for submitting now and adding later, depends how much later. Agreed, the initial submission is EXPENSIVE. If you're adding by the beginning/middle of July, I think that might be ok. Just remember: the key is APPLY EARLY. I know, it sounds like a broken record - but it's true. "Deadlines" mean nothing - if your stuff isn't in EARLY EARLY EARLY your chances go lower and lower for an interview, not to mention acceptance. You'd be better off going into some credit card debt and paying it off as the money comes in.
