I am interested in going into pediatrics but am considered based upon changes in the healthcare system and what I've heard from other people. Basically, I've heard that doctors do routine checkups and see their patients for about 15 min.
Is this always true? I was hoping someone might comment on whether there are other ways pediatricians work around this restriction.
also, I am particular interested in developmental behavioral pediatrics. I am wondering, if outside the academic setting, doctors really get to be paid for a range of patients? Or whether they just function like regular pediatricians?
