Approach to Family Meetings in C&A?

Hey all,
I'm going to be starting my inpt months soon for C&A fellowship. I've had some pretty bizarre sessions working with parents on my outpatient clinic where the parents (divorced) would come and argue about the others parenting styles. I'm hoping to be more effective and more concise in my meetings when I meet with them on the inpatient setting. I was wondering if you guys had any tips or format to adhere to when doing family meetings?

Shadow an excellent family therapist to pick up on the depth and art of handling oppositional parents. Counsel on a chat forum can merely touch the tip of a colossal iceberg. The will and desire to address this is admirable, albeit stifling in the long run.
