Hey, this is for all of you who will be taking the April 2004 MCAT and trying to matriculate in 2005.

Have any of you started looking over the MCAT prep books. I think I'm going to start in the next couple of months or definetely by summer, and I just wanted to see if anyone else was doing this. If you are starting, how are you studying? Groups or by yourself? Practice tests or just review? Etc...

Also, has anyone used a 12 CD set for MCAT review? There's a guy at my school that is offering to sell me a burnt set for a good price. If you have used them are they worth listening to, or are books better?

Thanks

Hey, Im taking the MCAT this april, but I have the audio osmosis CD's and I think they are great, esp if used with the books or a book for some of the general ideas to look at. Infact I think the CD's are worth the full price. My only word of advice is check the burned copies before buying them to check and make sure the tracks are not cut short. I had some burned copies and the last few sentences are more were cut off at the end of each track witch left me kinda hanging on what they were saying. But if its ok, its worth the price, for me anyhow.
Good Luck

FYI, there is a ton of talk about this in the MCAT DISCUSSION FORUM.

Burning CD's of an MCAT course is not only low, but illegal, and for the sake of SDN, you're better off not discussing that kind of stuff on the forum.

I agree Mike, I should have expanded, I burnt copies of the CD's I had bought as a backup, working on the ambulance and my habits, things get scratched or broke(usually by me). So because of the cost I made me some copies. Sorry
