Does this sound appropriate. I am going to take physics 2 and organic 2 in spring. I will do MCATs in April. These will be the only two classes i take. I already graduated. So, i plan to study for the MCATs and do these classes in addition to family and work. Do you think taking theses classes at this time will help or hinder April MCATs? Should I wait until August? 😕

If you plan to apply next year, take April MCAT. Taking August MCAT delays your application considerably.

If Physics II and Orgo II are the only classes you are taking, you should be fine for MCAT as those classes should've covered everything by April.

I agree. You can easily handle Physics II and Orgo II with MCAT prep. Waiting until summer to take the MCAT will not only hinder your chances of acceptance, but you will be incredibly bored all spring semester. 8hrs! You'd be watching tv all day long

You won't have much of a problem (any more than anyone else, I will not kid you, the MCAT drains the life out of you), and the info will be very fresh in your mind. I took orgo 2 the same semester as the MCAT, and it worked out fine. I did have to read ahead to learn a few rxns, but it wasn't a big deal. Go with examkrackers and you'll kick butt.

I suggest you take biochem the same semester. I did that too and I think it helped a lot on the mcat. org 2 was a prereq but it really didn't hold me back any.
