Yes DO's are recognized in other countries. Dr. Michaelson left PCOM for Germany, and we just had a speaker last month whom practices in New Zealand. You can go through the list yourself if you want. Sorry no Ireland, not that you care, but I wanted to go there.

Just be advised that the list on that website is NOT 100% CURRENT.
Some countries are on there that are listed as having limited practice rights, which may NOT be true as of 2002.
Also, realize that some of the countries listed there have not been petitioned recently so they, too, may have updated their policy on United States trained DOs practicing.
Overall point - more and more countries are allowing US trained DOs.
