Are IM aways worth it?

Those pursuing IM, are you going to apply for IM away-electives? Is there a point for them at all at this point?

Conventional wisdom is that it depends on who you are as an applicant, but generally IM aways are not as important. They’re most valuable for a letter.

This year, aways are basically cancelled so it’s moot.

Exactly, its like a cow’s opinion... it doesn’t matter.

If you are a DO student without a home IM program, it will help.

If you still need a LoR, yes. If you feel you are a strong student and think you can impress at the program, yes.

IM is tough though because there's just so many things to know.
