I am still interviewing and fear that most schools are already full, and they are only interviewing for the wait-list. Any thoughts/info. from the outside?

Your fears may be correct, but if you want specifics about the DO world, I can't offer you anything too solid.
In the MD world, however, all interviews around now are for the wait-list. Classes in most MD schools are full by the time December/January rolls around, but as with anything in life, there aren't any guarantees and so the schools begin accepting a lot more students relative to the number of spots available. It's only now that they've exhausted even that option and begin interviewing for wait-list/reject.
