Are most schools done giving out interviews?

What if I have seven interviews, do you think I might get a few more? I haven't heard back from almost half the schools I applied to

If u are racking up interviews like this guy/gal then yeah you might get a few more interviews your way. But if you been having a hard time getting interviews from the start dont expect much to change. But this is largely dependent on your school list and your application
 
For most schools, yes. There are some that have later spanning cycles that have IIs still trickling out.
 
I got an II yesterday - so some schools are definitely still giving them out! However, I should indicate that I already have gone on 6 interviews and have several acceptances in-hand. FYI - I turned down this invitation.

You are jumping to big conclusions. They only had two interview dates available and they were both on the one day of the week I have 3 once-a-week classes/labs. If they had other days of the week available, I would have gone. After all of this work, I'm not going to sacrifice graduating Summa if I don't have to. That's the problem with II's this late - there is very few available dates.

The fact that you wouldn't miss a lab/class for it kind of reinforces the low level of interest I was imagining! Would your school seriously strip you of your latins if you got violently ill and had to miss a day?? That sucks. Using attendance for latins in general seems odd, let alone taking it from someone because they missed a whopping total of 6 days in the year

7 interviews..all MD? Thats amazing, but how many acceptances😵

At least your schools give a crap about latins....

All I got was a little asterisk by my name in the graduation brochure...... 5 years of work down the drain.

My school requires you write like a 50 page paper on the background of the area you did your research-for-credits in. Checked SDN, saw that nobody really cares about latins, said forget that noise. Apparently at a lot of places it's just given for GPA?

Don't think of it as a wasted effort though, the good grades or research semesters or whatever else probably help your odds of IIs, so it's just a little bonus recognition for playing the premed game

i thought there was hope for me, getting 11 MD interviews by october. people kept saying I'd get more, esp to my top choices.

have not gotten a single interview since october. sad 🙁

Just an FYI, you won't hear anything from many schools. Many schools silently reject, but don't silently reject everyone. There were schools I would read about sending mass rejects out and feeling like I was alive, to only hear nothing. Not trying to burst any bubbles, but if you haven't heard anything now you may not hear anything from them at all.

btw i am a reapplicant so i know what it's like to be rejected everywhere. it sucks.

really wasn't a humblebrag, i was just responding to the guy saying that since he already had 7, he most likely will get more.. i had felt the same way but it didn't work out for me. either way i cancelled 6 of my interviews , not like i was getting interviewed to yale/columbia/hopkins

Received an interview invite a few days ago. I think the last of them are trickling out, but I'm not holding on to much hope for the schools I haven't heard from. However, I will say that 3 of my IIs have come within the last two weeks.
