Hey SDN,

So I took the DAT yesterday and here are my scores:

21 AA
21 TS
24 OCHEM
22 GCHEM
20 BIO
20 QR
20 RC
20 PAT

I've been looking at what other people have been posting as their breakdown on their DAT and something about my DAT TS and AA have bothered me. For ex someone posted these scores:
PAT 18
QR: 18
RC: 19
BIO: 19
GC: 22
OC: 25
TS: 21
AA: 21

How is it that my QR, RC, BIO were all above theirs and we still ended up with the same AA score. Same with TS I thought BIO was a big component of the TS score thus if my BIO is higher then shouldn't my TS score be higher as well. I know you can audit scores or something like that, do you suggest I do so. Please help me understand how the scores are given, because I am kind of confused.

add up all your scores except TS/PAT and divide by 5. That gives you your academic average. The person below had a 20.6 which gets rounded up. You had a 21.2 which rounds down. The TS is not an average. It is, in a sense, scored the same way your individual scores are scored. Basically, your TS are the same because TS comprises GC/OC/BIO and you probably ended up with a similar amount of questions wrong in those categories.
