are my EC activities enough ?

.I know its quality over quantity but i herad on the application, there are.
.10 boxes to fill in for each. I dont want to leave a lot of boxes empty. SHould i join up more clubs and do more ECs..

looking good. for the aadsas application's 10 slots, you can always carry over 1 or 2 things from your highschool days to round off the list. (by round off, i mean fill it up more than halfway, so at least 6 activities - that's just my opinion, of course)

also shadowing goes in it's own list so you can't use it as one of the 10

lastly, you can always find time to do one more activity that reflects your own interests/hobbies. music/theatre/dance/sports

Personally, I don't think you should add any activities or volunteer experience from high school (excluding shadowing and work experience), unless it was something that you continued in college.

You don't need to fill up every box. I think dental schools prefer amount of time over quantity. For example, if you volunteered for 50 hours at one place, they would prefer that over volunteering 50 hours at 25 different places for only 2 hours each. It shows you are committed to that place.

You should be fine on that front. I had no trouble getting in and all I had going for clubs was pre-dental and surfclub.

as for volunteering, I volunteered in a lab on campus and did some trash pickups and such.

Some schools put a lot of emphasis on volunteering and the like, such as ASDOH. I wouldn't even bother applying there unless you have 300+ hours of community service.

Looks good to me as long as they all have a good amount of hours involved.
