are NJ schools out-of-state friendly?

This forum made possible through the generous support of SDN members, donors, and sponsors. Thank you.
In my opinion not friendly, unless you have outstanding scores. But, if you can afford it, why not try. Good Luck.

ahh well..

do they give slightly more preferences to neighboring state residents? 😀

You could always look on USNEWS and see what percentage of people they take are OOS. Also MSAR would have that info.

You are 10x as likely to get in if you are from NJ than if you are from out of state. Why would you want to apply to NJ schools when there are better schools that are easier to get into from out of state?

could you list some schools as examples?

Well, for one thing, New Jersey is close to my house, and judging solely from the numbers, the two schools are not overly competitive
