Florida varies. There's lots of demand in Miami, Jacksonville, and Ft Myers. Miami & Jacksonville have needs in fairly high crime areas. Ft. Myers is plain boring.

The Tampa Bay and Orlando areas are more desirable, so there is less demand there.

You can also find work in smaller towns. If you don't care about nightlife, then this can work out to your advantage because housing costs a lot less.

Pharmacists continue to be in demand in every state in the US. Here's a link to a map of the aggregate demand index as compiled by the Pharmacy Manpower Project. The scale runs from 5 (high demand difficult to fill positions) to 1 (demand much less than pharmacist supply available).

ADI by State

Check out the data by region - it shows high demand across the board.

This level of demand is expected to continue, but I can no longer find the link for that projection. So take that statement with a grain of salt. 🙂
