Hey everyone! I had a question regarding taking summer classes after sending in my application to ACMA/AACOM. After undergrad and a year of post-bacc I will be standing at a 3.46 cGPA and 3.44 sGPA (MCAT 512). I wanted to submit my app in June and then take 4 summer classes to boost my GPA to 3.5 cGPA/3.5 sGPA. Afterwards, I would send updated transcripts to the schools I applied to. My question is, will MD/DO schools factor my summer classes into my GPA? Basically is it worth going through the struggle of taking summer classes while applying in order to reach that 3.5 mark? Thank you in advance!

AMCAS doesn't accept later transcripts. Schools that allow updates won't recalculate your application GPA, but they may take the GPA earned into account.

AACOMAS will accept later transcripts during designated periods. Whether they recalculate your GPAs, I don't know.
