Are Techs Paid More To Immunize?

I am curious, especially concerning the chains, now that many techs are getting immunization certificates, are pharmacies paid them more (either in bonus or salary raise) to immunize. Especially curious, since I heard a rumor from a friend one state over, that one of the major chains is quietly giving a financial incentive to some technicians to get an immunization certificate, but not to all technicians who get their immunization certificate.

Walmart is providing a temporary bump "depending on the location" (by now it should prob be nationwide) in pay regardless of whether they immunize ($3/hr for techs with PTCB/ExCPT and pharmacy interns, $2/hr for regular techs, $1/hr for sales associates)

I have tech who do all the training but refuse to do it when asked. So they get paid to do nothing?

Kind of a head-scratcher to do training then refuse to do the job responsibility that arises from the training. Sounds like insubordination

Hmmm, well that would certainly be a reason to just financially reward certain techs who've complete the training, and not other techs.

Not sure if it's the case everywhere but CVS is giving $2 extra to immunizing techs. Not sure if they have to be doing an immunization shift (clinic) or if it's an overall raise. Will get back with the info once my tech is actually certified.

We can't even get many of the insurances to pay our service fee for providing the vaccine. Pretty ridiculous they don't think our time is worth anything when giving the shots. Technicians should get a boost in pay because they will greatly lower pharmacist costs.

We paid for training but no specific pay bump, but they are incurring a lot of overtime, so their rates are hitting 1.5x routinely at least during the mass vax portion of this pandemic.
