I mailed my UCSF, UCSD, and UCI recs and secondary on August 3rd and I still haven't gotten comfirmation from UCSF and UCSD that they are "completed." Only UCI has confirmed completion of my secondary. As for UCLA, I know the secondaries have been sent out, but when I checked the status page, they don't even have any of my "records" on file. Is anyone else experiencing slow response time with the UC schools?

oh ya, uc's are indeed slow. irvine took about 2 weeks to update my status after sending my secondary, ucsf has not updated since my sent app about 2 weeks ago, UCSD said they will update my status by the end of the week, and I sent their secondary over 2 weeks ago...

so yea, UC's are terribly slow. 👎

From my experience with the UCs last year, all I can say is get ready to wait and wait and wait. They are incredibly slow.... it gets pretty frustrating. I found that UCI was the only one that was somewhat efficient and actually updated things fairly quickly and got back to you in the windows of time they said they would. Good luck.

I sent in my UCI app...they received the secondary rather quickly...they processed and updated it within 3-4 business days. My LOR is another story....they supposedly received by UPS on the 8/6....its been about 10 days now....and no update. I assume that since UPS said it was delivered then it was.....

FYI: from my experience for UCI it takes 2 weeks to update. UCLA claims 5 days, but i would say more like 2 weeks, depending on how much correspondence they will get...SO i will just sit and wait and wait, meanwhile neurotically checking the status pages q15 min.

Phew, thanks for the info. I guess I'll have to sit on my butt and wait.
