are there any em programs-us/img friendly?..

This forum made possible through the generous support of SDN members, donors, and sponsors. Thank you.
check out emramatch.org. it has a list of MOST of the programs (its voluntary but I would assume most programs would want the free information posted for all applicants to see). On each program's page, it has the total # of FMGs/IMGs/DOs that currently attend or have been part of the program in the past 5 years. Should be helpful for you.

The information is posted either by the chief resident or the residency coordinator... generally more up to date than FREIDA but may have incorrect information.

It simply depends on the applicant, the day of the week, etc. I'm from Sackler, Univ of Tel Aviv, and I matched in EM and know lots of my friends who did so as well.

I got interviews at very strong places (USC, U Chicago, Jacobi, etc) and didn't get interviews as some less-reputable programs. My friends had similar experiences, but with different programs. Apply to lots of places, go to lots of interviews.

Some programs will set up their system NOT to download IMG applications from ERAS. Make sure to call all programs if they haven't interviewed you by a certain date, and they will often download your application at that time.

Duke University

Penn State University

St. Luke's/New York, NY

Some additional programs that are IMG friendly. Albert Einstain Phili, Newark Beth Israel, Uconn, Allegheny, Brooklyn Hospital, Methodist, Beth Israel manhatten, New York Hospital of Queens, SUNY Syracuse at one point, Maimonides, lots of programs in Michigan for some reason, there are others I cant remember of the top of my head. Some of them have a pref for Carib grads some for european/israel grads. Either way you have to have good scores, recs, etc. Its much more difficult, but people get it, so hang in there. I am from SGU and 20 people from my class got EM spots last year.
