GO to your freakin' graduation. Geez, this is what your parents have been waiting and spending all their money for. Plus, you get to say goodbye to all those buds that helped you through it all.
I graduated two years ago. I don't talk to my closely related relatives, so they don't even know that I am a graduate. I didn't feel like going because I fell out of touch with the whole formal higher education thing and the entire process, and bull**** that comes along with it, a long time ago. Nothing but a damned diploma mill.
Wow...some people are really f***ing emo about graduations and celebrations and such...The whole "too cool for school" describes it perfectly. I went to mine and don't regret it at all. As a matter of fact, I enjoyed it. It's a celebration of you and your achievement, after all. Usually those will be the same people who will shun the white coat as a sign of outdated conservative oppression in favor of seeing patients in tropical shirts and flip flops...damn hippies
