Arizona Interview

Hi Guys/Gals,

I've got an interview coming up at Arizona. I read the "neg. arizona" thread, but it wasn't much help. What should I expect my day to be like? What type of interview.. (laid back, pretty intense, etc?) Do I get a tour of the facilities with a group of other prospective students?

Also, can anyone recommend good restaurants around the phoenix area? Ive never been to the state so im going to enjoy it and do some touristy stuff!

Here's some of my favorite restaurants- not exactly touristy though, except for the Mexican recommedation. (all of them are relatively close to the dental school - within 10-20 minute drive):

Indian : Priya - s/w corner of Warner and McClintock

Vegetarian: Pita Jungle 1250 E Apache Blvd, TEMPE 85281 (near ASU)

Italian: Pasta Pomodoro 7040 E Hampton Ave MESA 85208 (3 minute drive from ASDOH)


Mexican: Rancho De Tia Rosa 3129 E. McKellips Rd MESA 85210

Chinese: P.F. Chang's 3255 W Chandler Blvd CHANDLER

Let me know if you want more idea's - all we do is eat out, so I have a list a mile long - I should have been a chef.

Since I just joined, I am sorry if you already had your interview, but my AZ interview was great. Very welcoming and friendly. I think I was nervous just because, but the interview wasn't as tramatizing as some can be.

i've got an interview coming up at arizona too, on March 1st, I'll prolly be driving in from Los Angeles over that weekend. any other information or feedback? i've made my way through most of what's been posted so far . . .

I have an interview this Wednesday (the 18th)!! My interview is from 1:00-5:00 pm. ItsGavinC, will you be around? I am flying in on wednesday morning with my husband. Is that a picture of your son? I have three children. Let me know.

Well, here's info other than the school. Careful with cops once you get into the Goodyear area, even before that. Look both ways, twice, when crossing intersections or you will get hit by a redlighter. And when you get back to LA, you'll be thankful at all the great non-corporate eats back there.
