When I last spoke with the addmissions officers at Arizona they told me that they were looking for applicants with good community service resumes. I vaguely remember them saying that volunteering was considered community service, which really thru me for a loop because I thought volunteering was community service? Anyone know what they want or are looking for when it comes to community service, and is volunteering considered.

Here is a list of some of the things I've done over my life. Do any qualify as CS?

Volunteer hospital (6month)
Volunteer youth pastor (4yrs)
Volunteer in elementary school classroom (1yr)

That's all I can think of at the moment? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Dude, in my book those ALL qualify as community service. Volunteering and community service are by and large the same thing. Often times volunteering ony immediately benefits a group or organization, but in the long run such efforts will certainly benefit a community, especially when volunteering efforts are coupled.

Don't sweat it.

I put down my fraternity community service, 2 years hospital... that was it and and they still were willing to give me an interiview...

I didnt go
good luck
