Hi everyone,

So I applied for the year Army HPSP and my recruiter just contacted me to tell me that I (and every other person that applied from Milwaukee) was placed on the Order of Merit List. He wasn't really specific to what this meant to me and I tried to find answers but haven't come up with much. He said I would know for sure by the March board, but I was wondering if anyone could illuminate what my chances are/ how many spots are left? Thanks!

My recruiter told me all the scholarships were gone after the December board and to not even try and get my application in because they weren't looking at anyone else. He could of been wrong but my dad is an officer of 28 years in the army and talked to someone high up who said there's a very slim chance anyone gets one as late as march.

OML to my understanding is like a waitlist where you get ranked in such a way that when people decide not to go with the Army you can get a scholarship. Based on what the previous poster said though its getting late in the game so its not the best sign to OML now.

UPDATE: I got the call from my recruiter last week and I was taken off the OML and got the 4-year scholarship! Does anyone know what happens next in regards to commissioning/ have they finished the background check?

I was notified last week as well. Its all dependent on when the recruiting office receives your paperwork but I am set up to commission and swear in next Wednesday so I would assume that would be soon for you as well.

Can I know what your stats were?
