I sat on the plane yesterday next to a young lady that was in the army reserves. we talked, and she happened to work in the health care field, etc. and talked a lot about the benefits of joining the reserves.

I have always wanted to serve our country, but like a lot of people, i didn't know enough about it to really get interested. now i actually am.

anyone a part of the army reserves or know someone in anesthesia/pain management? Any thoughts?

Its completely your preference whether you join or not, take a look at the military medicine forum for better advice.

No one can give you truthful advice on whether to join or not to join, there are people on both fronts.

I can tell you however that military anesthesia is VERY different from civilian anesthesia, look up in the military medicine forum for details.
