Are there any docs out there at the end of their US training and applying for UK specialist registration via article 14?

I'm a PGY1 in pathology and was trying to gather some info on the subject. Was just reading the requirements on PMETB site and am somewhat confused. My professional qualities are my least concern. I am, however, worried about some things that are, apparently, big in the UK but virtually unheard of in the US (audit, clinical governance and so forth). No one in the US gives a toss about audit (rightly so, in my opinion) so how do I go about fulfilling this requirement?

If there's anyone out there in the same boat - do drop me a line.

Oh, and staying in the US in not an option for me.

I've never done any audits in the US, but I still got a job here. My employers are aware that it's not something that is done in the US. But, every job here would like you to do an audit or a policy. I'm not quite sure how to go about it, but everyone is assigned a supervisor who acts as a guide. There are continual assessments that are more rigorous over here, not in terms of difficulty, but in terms of ticking all the right boxes.

Thanks, that makes sense.

I'm going to take MRCPath at the beginning of my third year of residency and then start the whole process once I get the result. Good luck with your career!
