hey i know residents lurk around here, and i did a C/L month as a med student as well..

anyone know of/run across some good articles(review and otherwise) to check out on various topics in prep/during a CL month? i.e. was hoping maybe to find a list posted somewhere online @ a university center etc, no luck yet..

basically there is no curriculum here, sure i could search for stuff on delirium etc etc, but maybe someone has made a helpful list of important articles somewhere...

As a text, you can't go wrong with:

Massachusetts General Hospital Handbook of General Hospital Psychiatry
by Theodore A. Stern, Gregory Fricchione, Ned H. Cassem (Editor), Michael S. Jellinek, Jerrold F. Rosenbaum

but I also like:

Manual of Psychiatric Care for the Medically Ill
by Antoinette Ambrosino, M.D. Wyszynski (Editor), Bernard, M.D. Wyszynski (Editor)


In terms of articles, what immediately springs to mind are:

Boyer EW, Shannon M. The serotonin syndrome. N Engl J Med. 2005 Mar 17;352(11):1112-20.

Goldman L, Lee T, Rudd P. Ten commandments for effective consultations.
