Are pre-dents required to take drawing/painting courses at all? From what I've seen it seems like they are heavy on the science stuff. But I haven't come across any art or drawing requirements. Would any dental student or dentist here care to comment on this?

I ask about this because I'm mulling over dental school and would not mind taking a course during the summer or two at a local CC to see what kinds of things I like.

I don't know of any dental schools that require art classes but they are a good idea, and I have seen them on the recommended courses lists for some dental schools. It is a way to showcase your manual dexterity and/or work on improving it. Right now I am taking a sculpture course because an Oral surgeon recommended it.
