I personally attend a carib school called St. Matthews... 3.75 GPA at UNC and a 28 on the MCAT but could not crack into a US school so I had to go the Carib route... Anyways, it seems for the most part that the US students have a higher advantage and better resources.... I noticed Carib schools will take almost anyone but that does not mean that everyone passes and moves on... I think going to the Carib has made me more focused on finishing my goal and getting back to the US in 18 months to start Clinical Rotations... I want to know if US med students stereotype IMG's, a couple friends of mine who go to ECU think I just surf and play on the beach all day while in Cayman (not anymore since Ivan destroyed the island) and that was the farthest from the truth.... From reading your posts on here it looks like I use the same study material (BRS, U-mich website, Netter, flash cards, etc)... Any input would be appreciated...

I've met some carib grad residents during rotaions at community hospitals, and I've been impressed with most of them. Work hard, know your stuff, and eventually no one will care where you went to school.

highest paid doctor at the hospital I worked at came from carib school. The worst thing about carib is res. options unless you are at the top of your class. We just had a guy start over b\c he got accepted to a school here after doing m1 in carib.
