Hi guys, just wanted to see if anyone received acceptance/notifications about case reports for the upcomming fall 2018 ASA meeting? I am trying to plan other major life events around that time and it would be great to know if I can attend or not. I'm not sure when notifications went out last year. Thanks!

I have never heard of a case report not being accepted and I've seen some god awful ones the past few years. If you didn't mis-spell your name, then assume it's accepted.

You can submit a case report about intraoperative hypotension and it would be accepted. Maybe even foley placement. Perhaps it's because I trained at a hospital with a good deal of pathology every day but some of the most mundane things get through. Common and well known surgical complications, use of 3rd-4th line treatments intraop, common problems presenting slightly differently, etc.

Hear that @Anes2010 ?

I can see it now:

“How long does it really need to be? Preoperative semen ingestion and NPO guidelines.”

We use more McGrath than Glide. Maybe that’ll be the hook. It was difficult for me, since I cannot get it with McGrath.
Off-topic:
+1. The McGrath SUCKS. It can't hold a candle to the glide (or C-Mac).

Really? We are so used to it and it’s so portable. I take a little pause whenever I have to use glide.
The glide has a much wider viewing angle. It's so much easier to find the glottis in a mass of OSA soft tissue.

The screen on the McGrath is a joke. The whole thing is a joke. Better than nothing, but the McGrath is to a videolaryngoscope like the Yugo is to a car.

How much screen do you need to see the epiglottis
