I have an interview at ASDOH next week, and I have some questions about the peg test. I was playing flag football a week ago, and jammed my thumb when I went to grab a flag. I'm pretty sure it's just sprained (I broke it playing football in high school, and it doesn't feel the same at all) but it is still causing some problems. It's hard to write or pick things up with it, just because it's pretty sensitive. What does the peg test entail, and will this be a problem if my thumb hasn't healed enough by interview day? I'm already fairly stressed out about my first interview, and this whole thumb thing isn't helping too much...

why don't you reschedule until your thumb is heal? The peg test is really straightforward, nothing to be stress about btw

I've already paid over $250 for the flight and hotel... I guess I'll just have to hope for the best!

From what i remember what the dental students tell me at the interview is that the peg test is not about how fast you are doing with your hand, it is about how you handle yourself in that situation. I think you will be ok, just believe in yourself🙂

Not to worry: I interviewed with them last year, and they told us that the peg test did not really count. They would really look at the peg test only if you bombed it. So you should do just fine🙂
