okay so my interview is coming up and I realized I may have booked my flight too close to the time the interview ends. Has anyone who's gone got any input on how long the morning session interviews run? The school said 1, but is that true? my flight's @ 3:15, so I hope they don't run late. any recommendations?

there was an optional tour at the end that you can cut out if you have to catch a flight. Some people left early because of their flight, It wasnt a problem at all.

so approx how long did the tour take? do you recommend taking it? i'm still in two-minds as to if i should move my ticket to a later time or just keep my time... any input is appreciated!

hmm i didn't have an optional tour, and the interview ended before 1. assuming your airport is sky harbor, you will have just enough time to cab it to phoenix from mesa, check-in, then board. might have to run a little, and make sure you call the cab before the interview ends so there's no wasted time.

My tour and lunch w/students were both optional. I left at 11:50, home by 12:00. That was on 10/09/08.

i would recommend changing to a later flight. its not a big deal if you can't do so, since the tour is obviously optional, but the school prides itself in its brand new facilities. It would also give you a chance to speak to D1 and D2 students to get a feel for the how the school really is.

But obviously, if its going to cost a fortune to change your flight, then don't worry, its not a big deal to leave before the tour

i didn't go on the optional tour. i was todl the tour was of the med school i think. i think you'll be fine cuz you can leave early. stay for lunch a bit to talk to the D students and leave lunch early if u'd like. the closing remarks is just basically the admissions lady telling you that they'll review you app and that you'll kno whether or not your app will go further along in the process or not, (i.e. if you were rejected you get a letter telling you ur rejected, if you're not rejected your letter will tell you ur app will go on to the next part of the decision-making process) and fyi you should get the letter in about 2 weeks after your interview day. gl on your interview!!!! the facilities are amazing.

thanks for all the input guys! i realllllllllllllllly appreciate it!

also, (sorry for so many questions!) in your interview did the interviewer discuss your responses to their questions or was it a more question answer question answer format?? Sorry, this is my first interview and I'm FREAKIN' out!
